Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Kanagawa Prefecture southward to Southern Japan, East China Sea and the Philippines.

Size: 5 inches (12 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits sandy to muddy bottoms around rocky reefs and usually found at depths between 15 – 65 feet (5 – 20 m) where it feeds during evening hours on small fishes and crustaceans/zooplankton.

General Husbandry: Has a silvery greyish body with two central vertical black stripes. Not normally/purposely collected for the trade in 2016. However, should it become available, its aquarium husbandry would be similar to that of A. angustatus. Simply open that species to view those recommendations.
