Range: Indian Ocean:: Pinda, Mozambique and Seychelles; Western Pacific: Japan to Australia.

Size: 3 inches (6 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits shallow protected rocky and coral reefs and usually found between depths of 3 – 15 feet (1 – 5 m) where it mainly feeds upon filamentous algae, diatoms, tiny crustaceans, and detritus.

General Husbandry: Not normally collected for the trade.
