Range: Western Indian Ocean: Red Sea, and Gulf of Oman.

Size: 3 inches (7 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits coral reefs and usually found between depths of 20 – 150 feet (6 – 45 m) where it mainly feeds upon filamentous algae, diatoms, small crustaceans, and somewhat on fish scales and mucus.

General Husbandry: Not collected for the trade.
