Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Red Sea, Madagascar, Indonesia, Japan, and south to Australia.

Natural Environment: Inhabits rocky reefs, reef channels, reef slopes and lagoons and usually seen at depths between 6 to 85 feet (2 - 25 m).

Often seen in the trade and usually mariculture specimens.

FYI: In the wild, form encrusting colonies, sometimes with lobes forming irregular columns, and usually brightly colored, with brown or red with green oral discs.
