Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Japan and South China Sea.

Size: 10 inches (25 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits deep rocky reef areas at depths of 50 – 250 feet (15 – 75 m).

General Husbandry: This extremely rare species, having a jet-black body, yellow and black tail, and white pectoral fins, has never as of early 2016 been collected for the hobby, and is shown here for identification purpose only. Presently, it is thought its diet consists mainly of sponges and tunicates, nevertheless, little is known about this species.
