Range: Eastern Atlantic and Mediterranean Sea: Madeira, and Canary Islands.

Size: 3 inches (8 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits shallow rocky reefs and usually found between depths of 3 - 6 feet (1 - 2 m) where it mainly feeds upon algae and benthic invertebrates.

General Husbandry: Not collected for the trade.
