Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Southern Japan, south to the Philippines and Guam.

Size: 10 inches (25 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits coastal and outer reef crests along drop-offs and usually found at depths between 65 – 150 feet (20 – 45 m) where it feeds mainly on algae.

General Husbandry: Colors vary between sexes and its stage of growth (phase). Not normally collected for the trade.
