Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Christmas Island to the Pitcairn Group.

Size: 22 inches (55 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits exposed outer lagoons and seaward reefs rich in coral growth and usually found at depths between 3 – 100 feet (1 – 30 m) where it feeds mainly on algae.

General Husbandry: Colors vary between sexes and its stage of growth (phase). Not collected for the trade.
