Range: Western Indian Ocean: Red Sea.

Size: 13 inches (33 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits coral heads and/or dead rock areas on silty areas of inshore reefs and usually found at depths between 3 – 85 feet (1 – 25 m) where it feeds mainly on algae.

General Husbandry: Colors vary between sexes and its stage of growth (phase). Not collected for the trade.
