Range: Western Indian Ocean: Red Sea to South Africa.

Size: 20 inches (50 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits steep outer reef areas located in rich coral growths and usually found at depths between 25 – 100 feet (8 – 30 m) where it feeds mainly on algae.

General Husbandry: Colors vary between sexes and its stage of growth (phase). Not collected for the trade.
