Range: Eastern Central Pacific Ocean: Baja California to Clipperton Island.

Size: 24 inches (60 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits coastal seagrass beds and muddy areas and is found at depths between 3 – 100 feet (1 – 30 m) where it feeds on small fishes and crustaceans.

General Husbandry: Generally a greyish black with white blotches on the face. Not collected for the trade.
