Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Red Sea to Natal South Africa, north to Southern Japan, and south to New Caledonia.
Size: 32 inches (80 cm)
Natural Environment: Inhabits seagrass beds and muddy areas on outer reef slopes and is found at depths between 15 – 1000 feet (5 – 300 m) where it feeds on small fishes and crustaceans.
General Husbandry: Has a temperature range of 72 - 82°F (22 - 28°C) and their natural diet consists mainly of small fishes and crustaceans. Shown here for identification only.
