Range: Western Indian Ocean: Persian Gulf and Gulf of Oman to western Pakistan.

Size: 9 inches (23 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits sandy and silty bottom areas near rocky outcrops at depths between 3 - 130 feet (1 – 40 m) and feeds mainly on crustaceans, worms and very small fishes.

General Husbandry: Has a silvery/pearly body with a pale darkish horizontal band beginning on the snout and through the eye and a white patch on the upper rear body.
