Range: Western Atlantic Ocean: Florida, Gulf of Mexico, and the Caribbean.

Natural Environment: Inhabits reef slopes and coral rubble areas in lagoons.

Aquarium Suitability: Not collected for the home aquarium trade.

Best left in the wild.

FYI: Feeds by drawing water in and through its pores and filtering out bacteria and organic particles, then expelling the filtered water out through the osculi.

Grows to about 6 inches (15 cm) in height with individual tubes about 3 inches (8 cm) high and about 1.5 inches (4 cm) wide.

Usually yellow, yellowish green, green or brown to tan.
