Range: Western Pacific Ocean: Western Coral Sea.

Size: 2 inches (5 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits shallow coral reefs and usually found at depths between 6 – 100 feet (2 – 30 m) where it feeds mostly on algae.

General Husbandry: Prefer a temperature range of 77 - 83°F (25 - 28°C). Require a diet high in vegetable matter. May consume cyanobacteria/slime algae, and filamentous algae. May nip coral polyps and clam mantles. Rarely seen in the trade.
