Range: Western Atlantic Ocean: Caribbean.

Size: 30 inches (75 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits sandy and muddy bottom areas on coastal reefs and generally seen between the depths of 3 - 100 feet (1 - 30 m).

Aquarium Suitability: Not collected for the home aquarium trade.

Sticky to the touch and feeds on detritus and organic matter, which is sifted from the substrate.

Even though they do not contain any harmful toxins, they usually perish within a few months in most captive situations, as they cannot get a sufficient amount of food.
