Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Red Sea and East Africa to Hawaii and Polynesia.

Size: 28 inches (70 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabit sandy reef slopes and outer reef flats and usually seen at depths between 6 - 100 feet (2 - 30 m).

Aquarium Suitability: Not collected for the home aquarium trade.

Ingests sand and feeds on the microorganisms and organic matter in the sand.
