Range: Western Pacific Ocean: Japan to Australia.

Natural Environment: Inhabits sandy areas on inner and outer reefs and usually seen at depths between 3 - 65 feet (1 - 20 m).

Aquarium Suitability: Not collected for the home aquarium trade.

Ingests sand and feeds on the microorganisms and organic matter in the sand.
