Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Red Sea, Madagascar to Indonesia, Philippines, and Australia.

Size: 12 inches (30 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits areas below rocks on reef flats and usually seen at depths between 3 - 50 feet (1 - 15 m).

Aquarium Suitability: Not collected for the home aquarium trade.

Ingests sand and feeds on the microorganisms and organic matter in the sand.
