Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Red Sea, Eastern Africa to Indonesia, China, Japan, Guam, Fiji, Samoa and Australia.

Size: 10 inches (25 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits current swept sandy and rocky inner and outer reef bottom areas

Aquarium Suitability: Not collected for the home aquarium trade.

Ingests sand and feeds on the microorganisms and organic matter in the sand.
