Range: Eastern Atlantic Ocean/Mediterranean.

Size: 18 inches (45 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits deep muddy areas and usually seen at depths to about 300 feet (90 m).

Aquarium Suitability: Not collected for the home aquarium trade.

Ingests sand and feeds on the microorganisms and organic matter in the sand.
