Range: Western Atlantic Ocean: Florida, Gulf of Mexico, and the Caribbean.

Size: 80 inches (200 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits the base areas of reefs and often found in holes and crevices and usually seen at depths between 3 - 100 feet (1 - 30 m).

Aquarium Suitability: Not collected for the home aquarium trade.

Ingests sand and feeds on the microorganisms and organic matter in the sand.
