Range: Western Atlantic Ocean: Caribbean to Brazil.

Size: 8 inches (20 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits mangroves, and seagrass beds and usually seen at depths between 3 - 65 feet (1 - 20 m).

Aquarium Suitability: Not purposely collected for the home aquarium trade.

Ingests sand and feeds on the microorganisms and organic matter in the sand.
