Range: Indo-West and Eastern Pacific Oceans: Widespread.

Natural Environment: Inhabits outer reef flats and usually seen at depths between 10 - 85 feet (3 - 25 m).

Aquarium Suitability: Not collected for the home aquarium trade.

Ingests sand and feeds on the microorganisms and organic matter in the sand.
