Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Red Sea to Hawaii and the Eastern Pacific Ocean: Clipperton and Galapagos Islands.

Size: 24 inches (60 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits inner and outer reef flats and usually seen at depths between 3 - 65 feet (1 - 20 m).

Aquarium Suitability: Not collected for the home aquarium trade.

Ingests sand and feeds on the microorganisms and organic matter in the sand.
