Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Red Sea, Madagascar to Indonesia, the Philippines, and south to Australia.

Size: 14 inches (35 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits sandy substrates near seagrass beds and usually seen at depths between 30 - 200 feet (10 - 60 m).

Aquarium Suitability: Neither collected nor suitable for the home aquarium trade.

Ingests sand and feeds on the microorganisms and organic matter in the sand.
