Range: Western Atlantic Ocean: Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean, Bahamas, Bermuda and Cuba.

Size: 14 inches (35 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits rocky areas, seagrass beds and coral reefs and usually seen at depths between 3 - 150 feet (1 - 45 m).

Aquarium Suitability: Neither collected nor suitable for the home aquarium trade.

Ingests sand and feeds on the microorganisms and organic matter in the sand.
