Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Philippines, Papua New Guinea, and Indonesia.

Size: 9 inches (23 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits sandy bottom areas in lagoons and bays.

General Husbandry: Rarely seen in the trade.

Feeds mainly on crabs and clams, but will also consume fish and shrimp meat.

Feed once daily.

Best maintained in a well-established aquarium, as it is extremely sensitive to ammonia.
