Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Shirahama Japan and Ogasawara Islands to Batan Islands, and the Philippines.

Size: 3 inches (9 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits shallow rocky and coral reefs and usually found at depths between 3 – 30 feet (1 – 10 m) where it feeds on filamentous algae, various protozoan, and detritus.

General Husbandry: Not collected for the trade.
