Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Red Sea, Mozambique to Sri Lanka, Taiwan, and Southern Japan, south to New Caledonia and Australia.

Size: 13 inches (32 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits shallow sandy and rubble substrate reef areas and also mangrove areas, and seen to depths of about 15 feet (5 m).

Aquarium Suitability: Not collected or suited for the home aquarium.

Glutinous consumer of algae/plants, and also some small invertebrates.

Has a temperature range of 72 to 83°F (22 - 28°C).

Simply too large/too clumsy for almost all home aquariums!
