Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Mozambique to Sri Lanka, Taiwan, and Southern Japan, south to New Caledonia and Australia.

Size: 13 inches (32 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits sandy and rubble substrates in lagoons and seaward reefs and flat-topped lagoon pinnacles.

Aquarium Suitability: Not collected or suited for the home aquarium.

The second largest in this family!

Glutinous consumer of algae/plants, and also some small invertebrates.

Has a temperature range of 72 to 83°F (22 - 28°C).

Simply too large/too clumsy for almost all home aquariums!
