Range: Eastern Pacific Ocean: California and Gulf of Mexico to Ecuador.

Size: 0.5 inch (1.5 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits the underside of intertidal and subtidal rocks during the daytime.

Aquarium Suitability: Not purposely collected for the home aquarium trade.

Its shell is dull gray with light to dark brown rays extending from the apical orifice (central shell opening).

A dim light species and will scrape algae from any surfaces it comes across. No special care is required. A very good herbivore and sometimes arrives attached to live rock or coral species from local areas.

An excellent addition to aquariums!
