Common Name: Rough/Keyhole Limpet

Range: Eastern Pacific Ocean: Baja California to Galapagos Islands

Natural Environment: Inhabits the underside of intertidal and subtidal rocks during the daytime

General Husbandry: Has a temperature range of 68 to 79°F (20 - 26°C). Its shell is dull gray with light to dark brown rays extending from the apical orifice (central shell opening). In the wild it can reach slightly over 1 inch (3 cm) in shell width. A dim light species and will scrape algae from any surfaces it comes across. No special care is required. A very good herbivore and sometimes arrives attached to live rock.
