Range: Atlantic Ocean: Gulf of Mexico and east coast of North America.

Size: 24 inches (60 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits intertidal zones.

General Husbandry: Occasionally seen in the trade.

Small specimens do better in an aquarium with a sandy substrate, as it likes to bury itself.

Finely diced squid, fish, live brine shrimp, along with some algae to graze on is generally sufficient for its needs. Sinking shrimp tablets also a good foodstuff.
