Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Red Sea to Hawaiian Islands.

Size: 2.5 inches (7 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits shallow coastal lagoons and bays.

General Husbandry: A medium size hermit that is not well suited for the average reef aquarium., as it easily displaces small objects in its search for food. Its also not completely trustworthy where small fishes and shrimp/tubeworms are concerned. However, it is a fairly good consumer of small bristle worms and leftover foods.

Better suited in large fish-only systems for cleaning up left over foods.
