Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Philippines northward to Taiwan and Southern Japan.

Size: 2 inches (4 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits areas of overlapping corals on coral reef drop-offs and is usually found between depths of 50 to 100 feet (15 – 30 m) where it feeds on crustaceans

General Husbandry: Has a reddish head with the body also red and having dark red horizontal lines. Also has a black spot on the caudal peduncle. Not collected for the trade.
