Range: West Coast of North America

Size: 2 inches (5 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits caves and rocky areas.

Aquarium Suitability: Not purposely collected for the home tropical aquarium trade, yet unfortunately sometimes shows up and is misidentified as the "Peppermint Shrimp" and because of its origin in cool waters, does not effectively control unwanted Aiptasia anemones or remain healthy in warm waters.

A cool water species normally found in groups of several hundred.

Larger than L. wurdemanni, and a darker red color.
