Range: Western Atlantic Ocean: Florida, Gulf of Mexico, Bahamas, Bermuda, and south to Venezuela.

Natural Environment: Inhabits shallow reef areas and generally seen at depths between 15 to 50 feet (5 - 15 m), also seen to depths of about 200 feet (60 m).

Aquarium Suitability: Not collected for the trade.
