Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Philippines to Palau and western Australia.

Natural Environment: Inhabits shallow reef environments, yet sometimes quite dominant in back reef margins and usually seen at depths between 6 to 50 feet (2 - 15 m).

FYI: In the wild, the colonies are generally quite massive and dome-shaped with corallites more closely spaced/compacted with those coming from shallower waters and generally pale grey with contrasting wall and centers.
