Range: Western Atlantic Ocean: Florida, Gulf of Mexico, Bahamas, and Caribbean.

Natural Environment: Inhabits reef slopes, deep channels, deep lagoons, and usually seen at depths between 30 - 50 feet (10 - 15 m), yet is also seen as deep as 200 feet (60 m).

Aquarium Suitability: Not collected for the trade.
