Species Name: Acropora variabilis

Authority: (Klunzinger, 1879)

Common Name: Purple-tip Acropora

Range: East Coast of Africa/Red Sea

Natural Environment: Shallow reefs

General Husbandry: Has a temperature range of 74 to 83°F (23 - 28°C). This branching Acropora forms dense thickets and needs excellent lighting and fairly good water movement.
