Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Maldives to Australia.

Natural Environment: Inhabits shallow lagoons and foreshores subjected to wave action and generally seen at depths between 10 to 40 feet (3 - 12 m).

FYI: In the wild, usually found in plate-like growths that are mostly green or brown.

Cultured specimens exist in the trade that exhibit bright colors, therefore ask under what PAR conditions it was grown in, so you may continue to see it maintain its health/colors!
