Range: Indian Ocean: Red Sea.

Natural Environment: Inhabits upper reef slopes and usually seen at depths between 6 to 50 feet (2 - 15 m).

FYI: In the wild it has a bushy growth with somewhat short branches, which have very short side branches and are often overall blue or cream.

Cultured specimens exist in the trade that exhibit bright colors, therefore ask under what PAR conditions it was grown in, so you may continue to see it maintain its health/colors!
