Range: Western Atlantic Ocean: North Carolina to the Caribbean, and Gulf of Mexico.

Size: 2 inches (5 cm)

Natural Environment: Lives singly attached to stones in rubble areas and mangrove areas where it tends to be a zooplankton feeder.

Aquarium Suitability: Tentacles of the is stinging pest anemone, which is sometimes see in a rare yellow color, can encompass wide areas, up to 3 inches (8 cm).

Has a temperature range of 68 to 83°F (20 - 28°C), however, seems to endure a much wider range. Shown is a two-headed monster in the aquarium of the photo provider.

Eradication of these stinging pest anemones is mentioned in the introduction to this grouping.
