Range: North Atlantic Ocean: Mediterranean and north west coasts of Europe from Portugal to Norway.

Natural Environment: Inhabits sheltered rocky areas containing boulders and stones and seen at depths usually between 10 to 150 feet (3 - 45 m).

Aquarium Suitability: Not collected for the trade.
