Range: Gulf of California

Natural Environment: Inhabits shallow subtidal and intertidal rocks and tidepools.

Aquarium Suitability: This possibly 12 inch long species with gas filled vesicles and short narrow leaf-like blades is often found floating in coastal areas and is not considered a desirable aquarium species.

Potential Control Species: Fish: Naso brevirostris, Naso lituratus
