Range: Atlantic coasts of Europe and North America.

Natural Environment: An intertidal brown species of seaweed that attaches to rock/rubble, grows to 16 inches (40 cm) long and lives for about only four years.

Aquarium Suitability: Not a desired aquarium species. And if attached to anything going into the aquarium, it should be removed prior to that item going in the aquarium.
