Range: Tropical East Atlantic Ocean, and also the Tropical Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Red Sea to East Africa and east to Fiji.

Natural Environment: Inhabits tidepools, and grows on coral rubble and rocks.

Aquarium Suitability: Rarely seen in the trade, and not considered a desirable aquarium species as its difficult at best to limit its growth.
