Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Christmas Islands to Line and Ducie Islands, north to Southern Japan, and south to Lord Howe Island.

Size: 11 inches (27 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits sandy reef flats and protected lagoons and usually found at depths between 6 – 50 feet (2 – 15 m) where it feeds on benthic invertebrates.

General Husbandry: Not normally collected for the trade.
