Range: Indo-West Pacific Ocean: Cocos-Keeling Islands to Marquesas and Pitcairn Islands.

Size: 9 inches (24 cm)

Natural Environment: Inhabits rubble and sandy areas along steep drop-offs and usually found at depths between 100 – 200 feet (30 – 60 m) where it feeds mainly on small benthic invertebrates.

Aquarium Suitability: Fish-only or reef aquariums
